As an Innovation Consulting Manager, I help companies work and show up differently so they can thrive in new, innovative ways. Oftentimes, this involves helping shape a new team to respond to the marketplace and introduce new products and services.
My current project is exciting. We’re engaging the forefront of Web 3.0 adoption (the next iteration of the web, based on blockchain and other novel technologies) and exploring how far the metaverse has penetrated our lives to produce a first-look report at how it impacts users and businesses.
I am also the co-lead of our SoCal Asian Pacific American Employee Resource Group (APA ERG) and community outreach lead for the national leadership team. When world events caused a spike in crimes targeting Asian Americans in 2021, our national leadership team met frequently to discuss how to protect the Accenture community.
One community came up with an idea to support a personal safety alarm created by a small business in the US Pacific Northwest. The APA ERG quickly mobilized to distribute the alarms to those who wanted them. We felt this was something that could make a significant and meaningful impact and help our people feel safe.
When I approach topics of equality, diversity and inclusion, I feel that by speaking up, I’m not speaking up for just myself, but for others—and hopefully inspiring them to do the same.
