How I put change in motion

I'm a Talent Strategist Specialist on the Southeast Asia (SEA) Talent Strategy Team. I work with HR teams across eight Accenture markets to gather and draw insights from data for personnel development programs. My goal is to help our people reach their full potential and to love their jobs.

I enjoy working closely with business leaders who are delivering value to our clients, and I love that the work I do has a positive impact on our people.

My TAP experience

From the time I started with the HR Talent Accelerator Program (TAP), I was excited to be part of an HR team with such a high-performing culture. I knew I could learn so much from my colleagues and experiences—and I did.

I’m now wrapping up a two-year series of assignment rotations in TAP, and it’s been a great experience. Every task I have been given has been a challenge, and that’s something I really appreciate. I’ve grown my skills and expertise, as well as my confidence in handling unexpected challenges.

I've learned new approaches to solving problems. I've learned a lot more about myself and what gets me energized. And I’m confident I will continue to learn from the people around me.

A day in my life

My typical day includes diving deep into the various circumstances of our people, and I look for new ways to change or improve the status quo.

If I find that an HR process is inefficient, I develop a business case and recommendations to make it better. The most exciting part of my work was my assignment in Strategy & Consulting, where I worked with HR stakeholders from areas outside of my own.

Outside of work hours, I like to dedicate each month to learning a new, challenging skill with a friend or family member. In recent months, I’ve tried my hand at embroidery, pottery, baking with my mum and cooking Hainanese dishes with my boyfriend.

My advice

Technology and innovation are at the core of everything we do, even in HR. It’s vital to take advantage of training and development opportunities—such as the Technology Quotient (TQ) program we developed for our people—to keep up with the latest in tech.
