"I hack into my clients’ applications and work with them to improve their security posture."
In my role as a Security Consulting Senior Analyst, I’m an ethical hacker, which means I hack into organizations’ applications, and then work with them to help them understand where they need to improve their security posture.
Recently, I worked on a data analytics project that was extremely exciting for me. My team tested an extremely large number of applications, which generated a lot of vulnerability data. I turned that data into insights that will help the client understand vulnerability trends over time. I got to develop actionable recommendations that my client could use to drive business decisions.
Although I’m quite technical, I really enjoy working with the strategy/business side of things, knowing that my work has a direct impact on my clients’ operations. This project allowed me to stretch different muscles and gain more exposure with the client.

A typical day for me involves tasks from a variety of areas. I’m quite multifaceted, and I’ve found ways to pursue my passions at Accenture. As the lead for our SoCal Disability Employee Resource Group, I’m able to advocate for inclusion and diversity and persons with disabilities. I love cultivating community and meeting new people, and I am also on the executive board for our SoCal Security Local Connections team, which plans events and programming for the SoCal Security community.
My favorite thing about working for Accenture is that you’re allowed to write your own story. Since my first day here, I’ve been encouraged to take charge of my own career journey. This mindset has helped me to find growth in all opportunities presented to me and has allowed to feel that although this is a very large company, my story matters and I have a place here.
When I’m not working, you can find me participating in a variety of activities to stay active, from dance classes and pilates to rock climbing. I moved to Los Angeles for my job at Accenture and have had a blast checking out all that the city has to offer with my friends.

Never be afraid to ask for help! Accenture has the best people, and my team is my biggest support system. The work I do is extremely technical and can be a little intimidating—when you’re hacking into a company’s applications, you don’t want to cause negative impacts to the business. When I was first starting out, I was definitely nervous. But reaching out for help when I had questions or was unsure propelled me farther than I could ever imagine.
