As a Management Consultant, I am responsible for day-to-day management of client projects, such as scope documentation, financial analysis, risk assessment, stakeholder coordination and resource management.
I worked on one project that was jump-started due to the pandemic, creating an application that helps streamline vaccine distribution. Our team had to create and accelerate onboarding, reporting and documentation and training. The timelines were challenging, and our teams stayed focused and organized in order to deliver on time. The best part of my work is having the opportunity to improve people’s lives.
I was born profoundly deaf and have two cochlear implants; accessibility is paramount for me. I want to pave the path forward to ensure that all people with disabilities can be their authentic selves and feel like they are supported in the workplace. I am an accessibility co-lead for the Accenture Disability Employee Resource Group (ERG), where we organize events to spread awareness and advocate for accessibility.
I try to weave accessibility into my work with clients where I can. I worked on a pitch to make an application we developed for a client more accessible. It started off offering customer support through phone calls, but we’ve added a text-chat option; conversations through email or text-based chats are easier for people who are hearing impaired.
