Meet Our People

"With the solutions we are developing, this is a place to dream big—and accomplish great things."

What I do

With a human-centered philosophy, I strive to find new ways to improve and enhance our clients’ lives by taking tasks off their plate that have no value.

I look at it like this: When it feels like everything is the same, and has been the same for quite some time, you just go through the motions, day in and day out. Now imagine that someone comes along and helps you realize that some of the things you were spending time on, you don’t need to anymore, freeing up your time to do the things that matters most to you. This is what I do for a living, what moves me and what makes my day.

Every single Salesforce Lightning Community project I have been involved in (more than 30 already!) has been an exciting one. The main difference in these types of projects is that you get to focus on the people more than on processes. You learn to understand their feelings, their motivations, and in return, you can give back to them the tools and solutions they come to love.

A day in my life

Working for Accenture opens many doors to the latest and greatest technologies out there. You can start your day working in your typical delivery project, and by noon you’re working on an artificial intelligence (AI) project. Then you may end your day making a difference working for a nonprofit client-related project. You spend your days connecting with teammates across the globe, contributing to a connected network of professionals who are always there to provide advice and counsel to ensure our success in delivering meaningful experiences to all our clients.

Accenture is one of the best idea-incubation-oriented places I’ve ever been a part of. There is an incredibly knowledgeable team of very savvy people that can help you learn the most challenging and complex things, as easily as reading your morning news.

In my spare time—well, I have three little kids, so there really is no such a thing as spare time. Kidding aside (pun intended), I’m a geek at heart, and always keep myself up to date with many different media franchises. I also like to read quite a bit, and in my earlier years, I read most of the greatest philosophers’ works. In sports, I follow Barcelona and Lionel Messi, watch tennis (even play a game or two from time to time) and when time permits, I enjoy a good match of squash here and there.

“Accenture is one of the best idea-incubation-oriented places I’ve ever been a part of.”

My advice

Never think anything is beyond your reach. With all the advances in technology these days, where it almost seems things are magical, you not only get to enjoy that, but also to be an integral part of creating even more amazing technologies for the future. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!

Practice getting their hands dirty in Agile development practices with an interest in learning TDD, pair programming and more. Collaboration and communication on development teams. Experience cranking out mobile applications and/or desktop solutions Agile environments with an interest in learning TDD, pair programming and other Agile/XP practices. Understanding of object-oriented design and development principles. The following skills and experience aren’t required, but we’ll give you bonus points if you do have them. (Just kidding, bonus points aren’t a real thing, but you might get a high-five). Hands-on experience with test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration and pair programming. Superhero powers in consulting. Experience working on cross-functional teams—Fusion is kind of a big deal here. ARE YOU A GAME CHANGER? Our mission is to provide an environment where people do what they love and feel empowered to influence change. Of course our open and flexible workspaces, fully-stocked fridge and pantry help create a thriving work ecosystem. But we also support this goal in ways that can’t be contained within four walls—so whether you are working at a client site or at home from your patio, the Forge mindset goes where you go. “No-constraints” thinking—we’re talking “change the world” kind of thinking. Team members who push you to succeed, because they expect you to do the same for them. Diverse and changing work environments. Learning, sharing and working closely with other team members because we take the “two heads are better than one” saying very seriously. A “Speed2Value” approach to solving problems and delivering value. Open communication across the company—direct, expert and personal. A commitment to continuous learning because as the saying goes, knowledge is power. Active participation in Agile and software craftsmanship communities and we hope you do the same!
