No two days are the same. That’s why I love my job. I could wake up at home, in Miami, or in the middle of the ocean (and sometimes in Bratislava or Bangalore with our development teams). I typically start my day by checking in with my teams to download on our progress, prioritize work for the day and address any issues that came up overnight. Our team is truly global, so someone is always working to help our client realize their goals.
I’m very proud of the MedallionClassTM experience innovation and the various supporting hospitality products we developed with the Carnival team. The Medallion allows guests to have an immersive and seamless cruise vacation and it puts the crew in position to make every guest feel special and valued.
By tailoring the guest information visible to the crew in various situations, they can focus on personalizing their guest interactions. The crew has real-time access to important information, such as preferences, allergies or accessibility needs. The technology can even help a parent locate a lost child. A housekeeper never has to knock on the door again, accidentally disturbing the guest, to clean the room. For me, the simple act of being able to greet every guest by name changes everything.
A project like this is exactly why I joined Accenture. I love that we take something from strategy to delivery. Very few companies have the capability to come in early, digest the vision and then partner with the client at every stage—from concept to implementation. It provides a unique perspective and allows you to continually learn and grow during each step of the process.
In my spare time, I like staying up to speed on travel industry trends, including hotels, cruise lines and air travel. I’m a travel nerd and have always enjoyed exploring new places. Currently, I’m also addicted to OrangeTheory Fitness and go daily—though I’m sure in a year there will be a new workout that I will be excited about.
