Manager, Workday Business Group

"As consultants in the Accenture Workday practice, we have the opportunity to positively impact the day-to-day lives of people all over the world."

What I do

As a Manager in the Workday Business Group, I help our clients realize their goals for HR transformation powered by Workday. My team helps the organizations we work with to realize the full potential of their talent strategy through integrated, intuitive, user-experience focused solutions.

I spend most of my time leading teams to deliver Workday implementations for our clients. I recently worked on a key Workday implementation for a major professional services firm, where I led a team of consultants across the U.S., India and Australia focused on Workday talent core, succession, performance and people experience scope. My team guided the client through all phases of their Workday implementation, from architect to testing to post-production support.

One of my favorite parts of my role is seeing the solutions we dream up come to life in deployment. On my most recent project, it was exciting to see my team’s design for career tools deployed for use by thousands of employees around the globe to help them grow in their career. To this day, I can’t help but wonder if someone is using our solutions at any given minute! It’s exciting that as consultants in the Accenture Workday practice, we have the opportunity to positively impact the day-to-day lives of people all over the world.

A day in my life

My typical day at Accenture is fast-paced, dynamic and exciting! I might spend part of my day discussing a Workday solution with our sales team and leadership, another part on a call with a potential client to understand their Workday requirements and still another part partnering with colleagues on internal initiatives to help drive the success of our practice.

I really enjoy the career possibilities and the company’s focus on inclusion and diversity at Accenture. I feel that the only limits to your career here are your imagination and your willingness to ask questions. In my spare time, you will likely find my wife and I hiking, camping, spending time at the beach or venturing away for a day trip. I am also an avid music fan and enjoy playing guitar and electric bass.

“The only limits to your Accenture career are your imagination and your willingness to ask questions.”

My advice

Never stop learning. I have always valued learning, and I think it has truly made a difference in my career success—it allows me to keep a fresh perspective and constantly build my knowledge and skills, and it also keeps me humble in remembering that others can teach me something.
