THE WORK:
  • You’ll ensure compliance with electrical legislation and regulations in the affected country.
  • You’ll delegate scopes of work for a team of Transmission Specialists across offshore and onshore sites.
  • You’ll manage rataplan scheduling for Transmission Specialists and Operators on site.
  • You’ll lead improvements to instructions and site-specific guidelines related to high-voltage electrical operations.
  • You’ll implement and oversee the client’s Electrical Safety Rules, ensuring the safe system of work on-site.
  • You’ll oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, substations, and associated MV/HV/LV equipment.
  • You’ll coordinate all MV/HV/LV commissioning activities during the project’s construction stages.
  • You’ll control and issue safety documents to ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules.
  • You’ll inspect work sites, perform safety inspections, and check method statements for electrical activities.
  • You’ll implement training programs for staff to align with safety rules and standards.


HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • At least three (3) years of experience working with onshore substation systems
  • Completed and up-to-date GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS certification, if required by the site


BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Several years of experience in operation and commissioning of high-voltage electricity, with offshore experience
  • Appropriate electrical qualification and background relevant to the scope of authorization
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities, with experience interacting across all management levels
  • Proven ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and deliver solutions under pressure
  • Experience with National Grid coordination and participation in commissioning panel meetings
  • Expertise in outage management and network control in collaboration with control engineers
