Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Regulatory Compliance Manager, ANS
THE WORK:
- You'll serve as the client’s primary point of contact for all applicable regulatory agencies and oversees responses to compliance correspondence and inspection reports.
- You'll coordinate with the appropriate client personnel to implement corrective action plans necessary to address compliance concerns.
- You'll manage the preparation of all operating permit renewal application packages by a client approved Engineer, coordinates with the Engineer and client personnel in support of preparing the application packages and performs quality control reviews of draft submittals.
- You'll be responsible for preparing submittals, plans, and reports required by operating permits and any active consent order.
- Implements the annual drinking water storage tank inspection program.
- You'll review monthly operating reports submitted by the client’s Contract Operator for accuracy and takes appropriate action in response to any compliance violations.
- You'll monitor regulatory changes and provide wider business guidance on potential operational impacts to client facilities.
- You'll liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities on compliance matters and represent the client in regulatory discussions and negotiations.
- You'll conduct site visits and regulatory audits for client facilities to assess compliance with regulations, standards, and policies, and coordinates with the client’s Contract Operator as needed to resolve any deficiencies.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- You will have at least 3 years of experience (5+ years preferred) working on regulatory compliance matters applicable to water and wastewater utilities throughout the State of Florida.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with other types of similar public utilities subject to state and/or federal regulatory oversight is also acceptable.
- Strong understanding of the various state and federal regulatory agency rules applicable to public utilities and the ability to interpret and apply the rules in response to the utility’s compliance needs.
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
- Efficiently executes duties in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple active projects and priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience with performing site visits to environments common throughout the State of Florida and the thorough documentation of observed conditions is preferred.
