THE WORK:
- You'll develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for CSA components of data center construction. Ensure all plans align with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
- You'll provide oversight on the design and construction of civil, structural, and architectural elements, offering technical advice to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design consultants, contractors, and 3rd party consultants. Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment and timely resolution of challenges, ensuring project goals are met.
- You'll regularly monitor and assess construction progress, review contractor schedules, and identify potential delays. Provide actionable recommendations to clients to mitigate risks and keep the project on track.
- You'll track and report on any design changes, deliverables, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring proper documentation and timely rectification to support smooth project closeout.
- You'll act as the client’s representative for CSA-related matters, proactively addressing discrepancies and non-conforming work. Collaborate with contractors and consultants to resolve issues promptly and ensure project specifications are met.
- You'll identify potential project risks, particularly those affecting project timelines. Provide the client with timely communication, mitigation strategies, and ensure issues are escalated to senior management when necessary.
- You'll implement quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and audits to ensure construction adheres to client specifications, regulatory standards, and building codes. Address any deficiencies promptly to maintain high-quality standards.
- You'll assist in contractor coordination for necessary permits and ensure timely responses to RFIs/RFAs to avoid any impacts on project schedules. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- You'll perform regular site assessments to monitor construction quality, progress, and adherence to client expectations. Ensure industry standards and local building codes are followed.
- You'll prepare and present regular progress reports, including updates on risks, project performance, and milestones. Assist with the integration of CSA components into the broader project lifecycle, ensuring the seamless coordination of contractor and stakeholder deliverables.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. OR additional four (4) years of related experience engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in construction preferably in data centers. Internships or co-op experiences are advantageous.
- 3+ years of senior level construction management experience.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale CSA projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to data center construction.
- Ability to adapt and respond to requirements of project or client.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
