Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Senior Manager - Health and Safety, ANS
THE WORK:
- You'll develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, GMP, FDA, and EMA standards.
- You'll conduct site-wide risk assessments and safety audits covering chemical handling, cleanrooms, equipment, waste, and ergonomics.
- You'll lead incident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- You'll coordinate emergency preparedness planning, drills, and regulatory reporting for inspections.
- You'll train and guide employees on HSE regulations, PPE, LOTO, cleanroom practices, chemical hygiene, and spill response.
- You'll partner with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams to embed HSE controls into processes and projects.
- You'll manage environmental compliance for emissions, effluent, hazardous waste, air and water discharges, and sustainability initiatives.
- You'll track HSE performance using KPIs, trend analysis, and leadership reporting.
- You'll serve as the site HSE representative during internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
- You'll drive continuous improvement and foster a proactive safety culture through coaching, reviews, and best practice sharing.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
$110,000 - $165,000 a year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in life sciences/pharma environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, GMP, FDA, and EMA regulations
- Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigation protocols, and emergency response planning
- Excellent communication and training skills; ability to engage at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS systems
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in life sciences/pharma environments
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or similar
- Experience managing environmental programs (ETP, air and water compliance) and sustainability projects
- Familiarity with cleanroom standards, chemical hygiene plans, and LOTO procedures
- Experience with site-wide audits and continuous improvement methodologies
