You are:
An experienced Data Governance Specialist
The Work:
- Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data governance frameworks and define data management strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability roles within the organization.
- Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms to assess and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Conduct data quality assessments and root cause analyses to identify and address data issues.
- Develop and maintain metadata management processes to catalog and document data assets, including data lineage, definitions, and usage.
- Coordinate data classification and sensitivity assessments to ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations.
- Facilitate data governance forums and working groups to promote awareness, communication, and collaboration across departments.
- Provide training and support to data stewards and data custodians on data governance principles, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with data quality tools and techniques, including data profiling, cleansing, and remediation. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve complex data-related issues.
- Project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute data governance initiatives.
This role will require 2-3 days per week at the local office.
The preferred hiring locations for this role are Columbus, OH; Tampa, FL and Nashville, TN. May consider qualified applicants in Atlanta, Austin, Philadelphia, Cincinnati or Dallas.
Here’s what you need:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Data Governance Specialist including managing and governing large complex datasets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus points if you have:
- Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
