Job Description
Application Development Specialist (Accenture LLP; Austin, TX): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Specialist in Austin, TX, and the job duties are as follows:
- Develop, design, and maintain software products or systems to support client strategies.
- Analyze, design, build, and test new components or enhancements to existing modules, under direct supervision.
- Work with team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications, as directed.
- Maintain applications according to SLAs.
- Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system roll outs, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications, under direct supervision.
- Understand strategic direction set by management as it relates to team goals.
- Seek guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments and develop skills needed to execute responsibilities.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Performing analysis of functional requirements document;
- Creating technical design documents;
- Coding and deploying applications using Python, Node.js and Java script;
- Utilizing Oracle or SQL;
- Preparing unit test plans and executing unit test cases; and
- Supporting critical applications in a 24X7 environment.
Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- Source control, code review strategy leveraging SonarQube and Azure DevOps deployment best practices; and
- Preparing integration test plans, executing test driven development (TDD), and performing code reviews and test case reviews.
Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
