You are:                                               

The Sales Director will drive sales process and outcomes to clients on a dedicated basis, growing a profitable pipeline and/or backlog of sales, through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure. Sales Director targets the right clients, grows quality pipeline, wins profitable deals, and manages sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value.

An individual contributor who will originate and sell comprehensive deals with various integration and operational components and a value range of $5M to $50M+.

 

The work:

Provide solutions to complex technology business problems/opportunities requiring in-depth knowledge of client buyer needs

Expand our work in new areas of the client’s business through new offerings and services through approved contracting channels

Responsible to orchestrate and lead the entire origination process for a large deal working with the Client Account Lead, the client team and relevant subject matter experts.

Bringing a focus on the entire sales life cycle of an opportunity from origination to closure

Be the lead in ensuring the Accenture Sales Methodologies are implemented and followed to maximize win probabilities across a portfolio of assigned accounts

Interact with senior management levels at clients and within Accenture, determine pursuit strategies, develop client messaging plans and relationships, and apply industry-leading Cloud transformation strategies and practices

Have latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments

Operate within large teams and direct specific team sales activities

 Travel may be required for this role.  The amount of travel will vary from 25 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Qualifications

Here's what you need: 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience shaping, negotiating, and closing large complex multi tower deals within Public Services Clients

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience originating and capturing complex multi-tower service deals, preferably in value greater than $10M

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus Points if:

  • Existing trust-based relationships with Northeast States and major Cities/Counties.

  • Client facing (from deal qualification through close)

  • High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness and ability to work well under pressure

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Team player of unquestionable integrity, credibility and character

  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to interface and negotiate with senior executives

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here. 

California - $136,800 to $237,600

Colorado - $136,800 to $$237,600

New York - $136,800 to $237,600

Washington - $136,800 to $237,600

In addition to base pay, this Sales role is eligible for additional incentive compensation under the Sales Achievement Bonus Plan which is based on achievement toward individual sales targets, subject to Plan terms
