Job Description
The Onsite Workplace Meeting and Event Lead is a hospitality-focused role responsible for planning and executing innovative and memorable meetings and events at the Accenture Metro DC offices (Washington DC & Rosslyn VA). The role coordinates onsite event delivery and post-event facilitation, technology-related support, compliance, liaising with multiple teams onsite and reporting.
The role operates as part of the broader Metro DC Workplace Team and will be an onsite role 5 days per week.
The Onsite Meeting and Events Lead for Metro DC is accountable for delivery of a suite of Corporate Services & Sustainability Workplace services, while supporting the strategy of the business
These services include office operations, customer service activities such as client welcome experience, catering, meeting, events production, audio visual support
This role oversees the related people teams as well as vendors and other business partner relationships
The lead ensures a high service delivery, creating an engaging dynamic guest experience that aligns with and responds to the Metro DC Workplace leadership strategic direction and vision. The execution will meet or exceed appropriate customer service level requirements
Coordinate the provisioning of meeting planning services/support and liaise with the Workplace Leadership, as well as with support service meeting and events team members onsite for each location
Support execution of delivery in line with the overall hospitality event strategy
Use technology to manage the planning processes for meetings, including meeting registrations, approvals, budget and actual spend, calendars, meeting logistics, attendee registrations etc
Ensure support for assigned events and completion of procurement processes such as deposits, purchase orders, billing and final reconciliation for approvals
Establish relationships with internal (cross-functional) groups to ensure consistent delivery of service and resolve all escalations related to events appropriately
Manage relationships and contracts with service providers to deliver value-added services and competitive costs
Identify and screen potential new suppliers and services and manage the process cost-effectively
Keep knowledge base updated on supplier and sourcing trends and apply new approaches as appropriate
Monitor and manage compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needs
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of meeting and event planning experience in a hospitality or professional services environment
Role Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule of 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm shift
Ability to work occasional or flexible schedule to support early morning, late afternoon/evening or weekend events when required
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree: CMP Certified if applicate
Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (word/excel/PowerPoint)
Comfortable with technology and social media (advanced skills a plus)

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
