Job Description

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with an in-depth background in Kubernetes engineering (troubleshooting upgrades, installs, packages and applications running on Kubernetes) to support our USAF customer. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, virtualization, automation and DevOps technologies like Kubernetes, Microservice Architectures and Container Management Systems like Docker or Podman.

The candidate will be able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues within the DevOps cycle and pipeline. The candidate will have an in-depth understanding of how Kubernetes and Containerization (Docker) work together within a DevOps platform. The Candidate will have in-depth understanding of virtualization like VMware Enterprise Services (vSphere, vCenter, PowerCLI) and Network Infrastructure.  The candidate will have in-depth understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure and how DevOps integrates within the Cloud. A candidate with a desire to solve complex problems is an excellent match for this position.


Here's what you need:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting multiple technologies in a secure environment
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with a Linux OS using the CLI
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubeadm
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes lifecycle management
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes Management
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes Troubleshooting
  • 0-1 year of experience with Prometheus

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II Certification (Sec+ or equilivalent)
  • 2+ years cloud experience (AWS or other)
  • 1+ year of DevOps experience (Ansible, Docker, Terraform, GitOps)
  • 2+ years of building Cloud (PaaS) products and infrastructures
  • Expert in distributed systems, container orchestration (Docker, K8), and Cloud technologies (AWS,
  • 2+ years of experience employing Ansible playbooks
  • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps lifecycle

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $102,100 - $166,700 and information on benefits offered is here.
