You Are
You are a Scientific Informatics Consultant. Your expertise? Advising clients on data-driven strategies to achieve their strategic, financial, and operational goals. You have the energy and drive in abundance, along with personal resilience, a passion for serving clients, and a love for continued learning. You have a flair for breaking down processes into logical parts and constructing crystal-clear reasoning and analyses – an aptitude you use to decimate problems. communication and people skills? You have both in spades.
Most of the consultants work on one project at any given point in time, typically as part of a larger core team working on a priority.
Be part of dynamic project teams and support delivery of client-facing projects in the context of emerging practices and capabilities to support development and commercialization
Own project workstreams and conduct quantitative analysis and research to help generate recommendations and insights and drive outcomes
Support development of leading practices to enable digital Laboratory transformation
Work collaboratively with internal and external project team members and build relationships with clients to help sustain Accenture's profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.
Mentor junior members of the project team and groom them for more responsibility.
The Work
Create high-quality user, functional requirements, and use cases
Schedule meetings, document meeting notes and distribute meeting notes to invitees
Track defects
Participate in interviews, site visits and facilitated sessions with business Users
Initiate required regulatory and SDLC documentation
Collect information regarding and monitor progress of business analysis activities
Create as-is and to-be narratives
Create and manage gap documentation
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a requirements traceability matrix
Coordinate defect triage
Identify business needs for laboratory informatics solutions
Perform research of mild, moderate or high complexity into business processes, SOPs, system documentation and work instructions
Facilitate one-on-one or small group interviews with business users
Identify opportunities for business process improvement, including changes required to successfully adopt new laboratory informatics solutions
Provide estimates for workstream activities, including dependencies, to the Project Manager
Identify, manage and resolve risks and issues related to the workstream
Provide Project Manager with status updates, activity progress and schedule updates
Maintain excellent client relationships
Review and estimate change requests
Create and maintain SDLC documentation
Contribute to all areas of system implementation including but not limited to vendor interaction, system compatibility, change control, qualification, deployment, and training
Work with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, CAPA, CLIA, GxP, HL7 as well as internal policies and processes
Analyze requirements to determine priority and business value
Create and deliver training materials to end users
Collect and monitor progress on project activities from resources
Determine and document overall workstream approach
Plan and estimate activities within the workstream
Provide leadership for all resources within a specific workstream including client, vendor, consultants and associates
Facilitate medium-sized group workshops with business users
Perform stakeholder identification and analysis
With business stakeholders, implement business process improvements
Qualifications
Here’s what you need
4 year degree in an applicable field
3 years of experience in Laboratory Informatics projects
3 years of experience working in regulated environments
Bonus Points
3 years of consulting experience
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
Experience with any of the following LabWare, LabVantage, VEEVA, SQL LIMS, SampleManager, StarLIMS, Dotmatics, BIOVIA, SmartLab, Waters, Nugenesis, Empower, Pipeline Pilot, Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Electronic Lab Notebook, Laboratory Information Management System, QMS, ELN, LIMS

Questions about Travel? As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for Consultant is $112,400 – $ 135,000 and information on benefits offered is here.
