You are: 

A freight & logistics industry professional with specialized experience in Freight Rail to help companies in this sector of the industry to improve their performance and reach their strategic objectives. In today’s economy, companies depend on the rail sector to get freight from A to B. You’ve got the deep industry and operational know-how to understand the complexity of our clients’ issues and recommend relevant solutions. You’ve got the data and analysis skills to make operational execution more efficient, so rail companies can keep their customers satisfied and their bottom line healthy. Your communications and personal skills mean that everyone from the most senior clients to new hires look to you for guidance and leadership when it’s time to take plans off the drawing board and put them to work in real life. And your experience means you know how to manage and influence teams and make sure everything they do helps the client get their work done more efficiently, and more effectively.

The work:

·       Find solutions to our freight rail clients’ problems

·       Persuade senior clients and Accenture executives why alternate approaches may be needed

·       Leverage industry specific knowledge in freight rail to develop relevant solutions and recommendations

·       Decide which methods and procedures to use when completing projects

·       Work alone or manage large, diverse teams as needed, either at the client or at Accenture

·       Make sure that projects help clients meet their important goals

·       Be ready to challenge old ways of doing things

·       Be ready to bring knowledge of rail specific processes such as asset management.

·       Provide functional and industry perspective in engagements (e.g., waybilling, yard operations, intermodal ramps, track maintenance, etc.)

·       Give clients useful insights into their operating performance, including analysis of customer, asset utilization, overall cost basis, etc.

·       Craft product and service strategies to help clients’ organizations have greater market relevant, reach, and impact

·       Lead workshops that look for ways to improve clients’ organization’s performance in the rail and related logistics industry

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.  However be ready to build air miles with travel to client sites - about 60%.

Qualifications

Here’s what you need:

·       At least 5 years experience in the rail industry

·       A Bachelor’s Degree

Bonus points if:

·       You’ve got consulting experience

·       You’ve got serious data and analytical chops when it comes to improving a company’s performance

·       You can spot where to find new value in logistics and transportation, and explain it simply

·       You have demonstrated ability to create and articulate value propositions

·       You’ve worked on strategic industry differentiated projects

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role i $157,000 - $166,999 and information on benefits offered is here.
