The Industry X Smart Connected Products group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Hardware QA and Test Manager.

In this role you will manage a team of engineers responsible for planning, development, bring-up, and troubleshooting of innovative hardware systems, custom software and firmware solutions, and highly sophisticated tools. The work supports in-house development as well as direct testing and validation requirements for clients. Your team will develop test plans against specifications and provide the engineering and assembly muscle to get the work done. Your team will be adept at developing test fixtures, developing and executing test plans on hardware, and writing automation scripts in Python or LabVIEW. Your team will be running through the typical hardware quality testing (e.g. HIPOT, ESD etc) as well as testing hardware and firmware functionality against PRDs. Every engagement will be slightly different. You and your team will be kept on their toes, and constantly learning.

The QA manager will also be a member of our Leadership Team, assisting with the pursuit of client work, architecting solutions, and reaching out across Accenture to form lasting relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the QA and Test team: set their responsibilities, guide their development.
  • Assign your team to projects as needed, ensuring they remain engaged
  • Actively engage with the execution of projects: working with the program teams to drive success
  • Collaborate with program leadership and cross-functional groups (electrical, mechanical, firmware, software) to develop workable test and validation solutions
  • Develop test plans, procedures, debug guides
  • Evaluate test results and generate test and validation reports
  • Engage with client and Accenture client account teams to architect solutions


Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in people management
  • 3+ years in leadership roles: driving an organization into new business opportunities
  • 5+ years working with electrical test methodologies and test equipment
  • 3+ years working directly with scripting languages, e.g.: Python, LabVIEW, Matlab, with experience interfacing with test hardware
  • 3+ years working with VISA, SCPI, and other common communication protocols used by test equipment
  • 3+ years driving hardware quality testing, e.g. HIPOT, HALT, ESD, environmental stress testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years in people management
  • 5+ years in leadership roles: driving an organization into new business opportunities
  • Expert in Python and/or LabVIEW (CLA preferred)
  • Able to speak to software best practices, e.g. CI/CD, source control
  • Familiarity with software/firmware development to incorporate coding into test/validation solutions, e.g.: AWS tools, cloud connectivity (e.g. JSON), SITL (Software in the Loop), Jenkins with automated testing, Jira, software repositories like Git/SVN,  In such cases, coding resources may come from your team, or though collaboration with our embedded team.
  • Understanding of basic electrical concepts and common bus protocols (I2C, SPI, etc.)

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $132,000-$165,000 and information on benefits offered is here.
