The Director of Digital Marketing & Social Media Strategy works closely with the team to ensure that all account and engagement strategies and tactics are being flawlessly executed across marketing channels. The Director serves as a strong day-to-day Digital Marketing and Social Delivery resource over a large account or group of smaller accounts with cross-functional team oversight.

YOUR ROLE: Social Strategist/Supervisor

This position sits within the Digital Marketing Strategy team, whose mission is to create and share best-in-class content across all digital platforms that will inspire loyalty, create buzz, drive action and support brand goals.

Ensure that the team is providing “best in class” service to clients and partner agencies – developing strong strategic plans and engaging content, while providing seamless account oversight and project management, understanding the cross-channel opportunities and optimization. Partners with account on development of proposals and account plans. Responsible for the digital marketing and social strategy and delivery. 

Guides Strategy Associates and Consultants within the group towards:

  • Overseeing all day-to-day deliverables to ensure client expectations are met

  • Understanding the overall mission, vision, goals, strategy and expectations from our clients

  • Development of smart, strategic engagement plans

  • Ideation and planning of content/editorial calendars across platform

  • Ensuring landscape- and platform-specific recommendations and trends are reflected in our reporting

  • Adherence of best practices and Community/Platform specific protocols

  • Ensuring all executions meet or exceed overall requirements and expectations of the contract, and are on time, on budget and are of the highest quality

  • Represents Accenture as a thought leader; develops industry/vertical expertise as needed and leverages engagement knowledge and experience to be a recognized engagement expert.

  • Works closely with Accenture Interactive leadership to define success upfront and measure results accordingly, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Assists with the management and development of the content strategy and delivery teams.


YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

  • At least 9 years previous experience in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications or equivalent professional experience

  • At least 7 years experience with marketing strategies/tactics

  • At least 7 years demonstrated experience of using social media in a professional setting

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience

SET YOURSELF APART: Preferred Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube as well as a familiarity with all other current and emerging digital platforms like Discord, Twitch, and others.

  • Ability to oversee large corporate accounts and manage all day-to-day deliverables from an account standpoint.

  • Understanding of social media and the online space.

  • Ability to work and manage teams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

  • Experience as a lead of a social marketing and/or digital engagement team.

  • Experience managing financial services or fintech clients, among other B2C industries.

  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps or playbooks.

  • Experience in leadership in a digital agency environment.

  • Experience participation and/or leading new business initiatives.

  • Experience as a community manager in an agency and/or brand setting.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $119,880 - $197,900 and information on benefits offered.
