People in the Corporate Function contribute to the running of Accenture as a high- performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.
Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.

Accenture has just launched the Metaverse Continuum, a business group that will help our clients set strategies to drive business transformation leveraging the Metaverse, and to build and operate Metaverse capabilities for our clients, including world-building and consumer engagement, content management, marketplace development, blockchain, 3D commerce, extended reality, digital twins, trust and safety and ecosystem and community development.

Global Services Legal (GSL) team is a strategic partner and product counsel to the five Services of Accenture, i.e., Interactive, Strategy & Consulting, Industry X, Technology and Operations. We are a diverse team and our team’s mission is to help our business to grow in a responsible, inclusive, and sustainable way, by providing early-stage legal advice and support in relation to the key business strategies and priorities.
The GSL Team is now looking for a senior-level attorney to serve as Global Legal Lead for Web3 and Metaverse.
Conduct assessments of new service and product offerings relating to Web3 and metaverse and help the Metaverse Continuum business prepare those offerings for market.
Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation and self-regulating governance strategies, in collaboration with colleagues across the business, GSL and the wider Accenture Legal.
Support the Metaverse Continuum business’ growth strategy including in the evaluation of prospective acquisition targets and development of post-merger integration strategy.
Help to enable other Legal teams across Accenture, such as through developing contracting guidance, providing subject matter expert support on individual deals, and designing compliance frameworks.
Education: JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification and admitted to the bar (or local equivalent); in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting, with a preference for prior experience advising on the development of new product or service offerings.
Ability to analyze complex facts and situations to provide risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Understanding or willingness to learn applicable regulatory landscapes as required for the offerings.
Ideally some prior experience with Web3 and metaverse enabling technologies, such as AR/VR, 5G, geolocation, IoT/Edge computing, distributed ledger technology (e.g., blockchain), and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML).
Other relevant experience includes digital content production and licensing, multiplayer online gaming / virtual worlds, digital advertising, e-commerce and consumer goods & services industry.
Track record of developing trusted advisor relationships with senior business leaders.
Experience shaping deals and evaluating innovative commercial models.

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $159,516 - $288,500 and information on benefits offered is here.
