You Are:
The Regional Procurement Category Manager will lead and coordinate part of the Procurement Plus (P+) Travel & Mobility category and is accountable for target setting in alignment with global and market P+ category objectives. Additionally, the Category Manager will communicate, execute and implement category initiatives on a regional level while coordinating and overseeing local sourcing/procurement activities in Americas. The Category Manager is responsible for the Travel & Mobility category strategy definition, project execution and stakeholder alignment
The Work:
Manage parts of the Procurement Plus Travel & Mobility category:
Manage direct reports including target setting, performance, career and training development
Foster knowledge sharing between global/regional/local P+ and travel & mobility resources
Support the Global Category Leads with the identification of stakeholders and definition of the strategy
Benchmark category practices with market developments to identify initiatives for improvement
Assess impact of changing requirements, including legislation and policies
Ensure successful implementation of global / market strategy and agreements:
Coordinate resource allocation to support global initiatives on a regional and local level
Lead and support market and global category strategy development and implementation
Support regional/local negotiations and sourcing activities in line with global category strategy
Support business profitability (incl. sales) related to travel across the regional Accenture organization
Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies
Manage supplier and customer relationships:
Manage supplier relationships in line with Global Category and 360 Value Mgmt. strategy
Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders
Manage internal customer feedback on category organization & supplier performance
Consolidate requirements and act as business partner across MUs, Functions Proactively organize sessions with internal customers to identify value contribution opportunities
Ensure that input from stakeholders is considered in the category strategy and sourcing processes
Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global targets
Perform category management activities for projects on a regional level:
Manage the category strategy implementation/execution for regional projects and initiatives
Drive supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned across different markets
Perform supplier selection and fact-based negotiations in alignment with Global Category Leads
Involve the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation
Drive deep travel & mobility market intelligence into all aspects of the value proposition

Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 8 years working experience in Procurement or travel environment, with international project and people management elements
Minimum 7 years of experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization
Minimum 8 years of experience working with stakeholder and relationship management as well as supplier management.
Bonus Points:
Master's Degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, procurement, travel or comparable professional education
Expert knowledge of the travel & mobility industry and commercial models
Very strong in stakeholder and relationship management as well as supplier management
Expert in category management, sourcing as well as project management and planning
Excellent knowledge of procurement and category strategy development and conveyance
Proven knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts
Advanced in analytics and the ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $73,764 - $170,100 and information on benefits offered is here.
