The Scrum Master Specialist is responsible for bringing the latest innovation and technology ideas to plan, deliver and execute technology solutions for Accenture or its clients. Work to ensure appropriate resources are mobilized and delivery meets operational, contractual, and economic commitments.
Backlog Refinement (throughout program execution)
Work with product owner to share the backlog items (schedule to be refined) in advance to the team to allow them sufficient time for analysis.
Ensure appropriate business stakeholders (including product owner / business analyst) are available for clarification on requirements
Continuous evaluation and updating of the Backlog with new or modified user stories that are decomposed, estimated, prioritized, and assigned to future Iterations.
Program Increment Planning and Execution
Review the Agenda and plan for logistics (in case of small-scale engagement)
Reinforce team to update the efforts and status of the stories / tasks until it becomes a habit.
Facilitate all the sprint ceremonies – Iteration Planning, Daily Standup, Retrospective, Review / Demo etc.
Iteration Planning –
Helps the team to commit on iteration scope as per available iteration effort and team’s capacity / velocity.
Helps the team to decompose the stories into tasks, perform absolute estimation and tracking them on the ALM tool.
Ensure any impediments, risks or blockers are being highlighted on timely basis with the team. Track them to closure using either Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or Collaboration tools.
Participate (or ensure participation from team) in team sync ups (Scrum of Scrum) to ensure that dependencies are discussed and managed.
Monitors the execution of Iterations and drives continuous improvement.
Communicate the progress of iteration to the stakeholders.
Ensures effective cadence and communication between Scrum / Kanban and waterfall teams working for a program increment / release.
Ensures that interdependencies between features/user stories involved within the Iterations are addressed
Iteration Demo and Retrospective
Ensures that User stories met the ‘Definition of Done (DoD)’

Here’s What you Need:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Scrum Master, working in a scaled environment across multiple scrum teams (2 teams minimum) at one time.
Minimum of 1 Certification from the below list:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Certfied Scrum Professional (CSP)
ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)
IAgile Certified Expert (ICE)
Certified SAFe Agilist (SA)
Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus Points if You Have:
Hands on experience or Knowledge of Scrums of Scrums/Complex ecosystem
Agile tool suite background (ie. Jira and Confluence, Rally, Agile Central)
In-depth Agile Knowledge
Driven and proactive
Good facilitation skills
Experience with working with distributed Agile teams
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $62,100 - $104,199 and information on benefits offered is here.
