Corporate Functions – Marketing & Communications

The Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates strategies and programs that advance the brand, growth, and talent goals for Accenture Federal Services.  Our highly collaborative, cross-functional team drives brand positioning in the US federal market, curates digital and client experiences to advance growth priorities, empowers and positions leaders and subject matter experts, and engages and inspires the company’s people and recruits. It positions Accenture Federal Services as a leader delivering on the promise of technology and human ingenuity, and a champion for equality, inclusion, and diversity.

YOUR ROLE: AFS Marketing Manager

The Solution Marketing manager creates campaign strategies to differentiate our solutions and technical capabilities in the federal market.  In this role, you’ll design campaigns that demonstrate the value and power of our insights, capabilities, and ecosystem partners through the lens of issues that matter to federal leaders. You’ll work with subject matter experts across the company to define the go-to-market approach and activities—including content, forums, and persona-based web journeys--to advance awareness and meaningful engagement with federal CXO communities. 

This individual understands the federal market; is adept in translating technology-speak into compelling messaging and value propositions; combines a campaign mindset with creative, innovative thinking to consistently deliver demonstrable impact; is relentless about how to get the most out of digital channels; and has superior writing and editing skills.  This role works together with people across the Marketing team, the company, and ecosystem partners to create high-value experiences for clients online and in person.

The work: 

  • Serve as a marketing advisor to business stakeholders, directing the right mix of marketing approaches and programs to achieve specific goals

  • Engage, influence, and mobilize stakeholders at various levels of leadership within a large, matrixed organization through relationship building and strong executive-level presence

  • Demonstrate ability to design, plan, and execute high-impact, creative, quality programs and campaigns in clear alignment with business strategy

  • Demonstrate superior oral and written communications skills and presentation skills

  • Comfortably manage relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders as well as “roll up your sleeves” in program management and execution

  • Work autonomously and independently, yet integrate seamlessly with other areas within Marketing & Communications and the business

  • Manage ambiguity and quick-turn expectations, agile execution and proven excellence in storytelling and written communications, ability to navigate multiple processes, excellent team building and people management skills, positive and collaborative work ethic

  • Demonstrate leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian


Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6 years of experience in marketing and/or marketing communications role

  • 3 years with a technology, government contracting or professional services firm

  • Integrated marketing strategy and planning

Bonus points if you have:

  • Project management skills

  • Understands and familiar with new and emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence)

  • Executive-level leadership presence

  • Critical thinking/ business judgment

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $91,300 - $130,099 and information on benefits offered is here.
