You are:

The Technology Delivery Senior Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of complex projects in clients within the Public Sector, Health Provider, or Health Payer industry. You have the skills to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. Your human superpower? Using your know-how, creativity, and analytical powers to solve clients’ most complex business problems to help their companies do more, and achieve the quality that they need, on time and on budget. You’re as comfortable leading projects, phases / workstreams, and teams as you are diving into the details of workstreams as needed. You have a passion for delivering large, complex, and difficult work with quality.  You have the communication and people skills to inspire teams to bring their A-game

You will be expected to lead and drive the full lifecycle of a program: from blueprint to design, build, test and post-go-live-support. Connecting with our clients, you will define scope and plan for an implementation. Using your in-depth industry expertise in either public sector, provider, or payer, you will coach and manage your team on designing and delivering solutions that fit our clients’ requirements as well as plan and budget. As you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will use your people skills to cooperate closely with Accenture colleagues in onshore and offshore locations across the globe. Your ability to build strong relationships with client stakeholders will help you to deliver and create future value.

The work:

  • Actively build positive, collaborative relationships with clients to understand the client's business priorities and bring Accenture assets and expertise aligned with these priorities
  • Set up and lead effective governance and program management office processes to manage the solution, decision making, deliverables, stage gates, schedule, resources, and costs
  • Monitor and manage team goals and performance and ensure the team understands how they align and relate to broader business goals and strategies
  • Deep-dive existing and potential problem areas, develop and communicate corrective action and mitigation plans, and drive follow-through to successful resolution. Be hands-on when needed to help your team solve problems and get through crunch periods
  • Help your teams connect the dots and collaborate effectively by understanding and sharing solution and delivery integration points across functional workstreams and technical disciplines
  • Develop reasonable integrated project plans and drive teams to on-time and cost with quality completion.  Identify client and other responsibilities and commitments up-front and hold them as accountable as you hold your Accenture teams

Qualifications

Here’s what you need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT systems and/or processes in one of the following industry settings:  Health Providers, Health Payors, or public sector (e.g. state and local government) organizations, including leading large scale complex projects handling end to end project delivery, and delivery projects on time and on budget
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Experience with different project management methods (Waterfall, Agile)
