Second Child is the creative production studio inside Droga5. We are a collective of makers, focused on producing content at a high level of craft in a flexible and nimble way. Across the integrated disciplines of Film, Editorial, Motion Graphics & Animation, Audio, Photography, Retouching, Graphics, and Technology, we create branded content in many forms, for many different platforms and channels. Job Summary

The Studio Coordinator manages the client-facing and administrative aspects of the Second Child studio. The Studio Coordinator has direct involvement in all aspects of production, and lots of opportunity to learn and grow with the studio.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Client Services tasks including:

    • Manage front desk reception and greet and direct clients to various facilities in the studio 

    • Arrange meal and coffee orders for clients

    • Manage the lounge area and events held there

    • Supervise hospitality needs for the kitchen, restroom and other hospitality supplies

    • Curate and maintain the vibe of the front of house at the studio 

  • Production tasks including:

    • Check freelance talent availability

    • Maintain freelancer database

    • Complete freelancer intake paperwork

    • Facilitate freelancer timesheets and reconciliation with payroll service

    • Manage freelancer data on platforms including BuyNow, Workbook and others

    • Assist Post Producers as needed on resourcing and scheduling 

  • Administrative tasks including:

    • Organize digital files and production elements and documents 

    • Track and reconcile studio expenses using platforms such as BuyNow and myTE

    • Research and assist on production or post projects

    • Assist the Director of Second Child with event planning, expenses and special projects

  • Assist in shoot, edit, or other projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 months+ experience in a production environment or related field (can be related study/internship)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following backgrounds: film production, photography, post production, broadcasting, media, advertising or digital production 

  • Proficiency in all standard office and Web-based software platforms 

  • High attention to detail and the ability to master robust database and project management software

  • Specialized skills in editorial or design software is a plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 

  • Curious, open-minded, positive, enthusiastically collaborative and kind attitude
