Communications Strategy @ Droga5
Communications strategy is core to our process at Droga5, ensuring that media thinking is considered early to deliver best in class creative ideas where the context enhances the content. At Droga5 we challenge the existing industry model of media and creative working in siloes, instead preferring an integrated, collaborative planning approach where insights into audience’s relationship with platforms and channels are used as key inputs to creative ideation.
The Community Manager implements and oversees social strategies across digital platforms and works closely with Creative, fostering an integrated approach, bringing creative thinking to life across touchpoints and moments.
Actively moderate brand accounts while living up to the brand promise and crafting responses in the brand voice to questions and relevant mentions
Work cross-functionally with Creative and Production to keep content calendar on track, deliver a high standard of work, and manage publishing
Monitor performance and develop topline reports for clients, while also working with Data Strategy team to interpret and implement learnings and optimizations from deep-drive reports
Stay on top of social listening, identifying relevant real-time opportunities and briefing the Creative team quickly
Integrate or manage paid social as needed, working closely with media agencies
Stay up-to-date on competitors, trends, and best practices in social, continually pushing for best-in-class and first-to-market work
Support Communications Strategy team in the development and execution of campaigns including research, managing relationships with platform/media partners, developing tactical guidelines and ensuring creative adheres to them throughout the process
Minimum of 1 year managing brand social accounts or similar experience
Experience working in or with a creative agency and creative teams
Deep understanding of the media landscape, both offline and online
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
Accustomed to interacting directly with clients
Experience using a content management/social listening tool such as Spredfast or Hootsuite
Creative sensibility with an eye for what will work in social as it relates to authenticity, humor and cultural context/current events
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Commercially minded, believes in the power of brands
