Overview of North America (NA) Marketing + Communications 

The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accenture’s $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada).  Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accenture’s leaders, and engages and inspires the company’s North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves. 

We are looking for a dynamic and well-rounded marketing communications professional at the manager level to join the Accenture Information Security (IS) Marketing + Communications team – a team dedicated to helping communicate to our people and our client teams on how best to keep data safe. 

Information Security (IS) is Accenture’s internal organization that protects the data of Accenture, our clients and our people through security technology, innovative communications and behavioral change programs aimed at preventing cyber incidents. IS also works with Accenture’s Legal, Global IT, Geographic Services, Data Privacy and Business Continuity groups, along with outside partners such as law enforcement agencies and third-party security advisors - addressing today’s news-making cyber threats and the application of best preventive defenses.

Reporting to a marketing communications senior manager, the individual will require proven experience executing internal communications initiatives across Accenture’s multi-matrixed environment. Working in the leading field of cyber security, the individual will support the development of security-focused content, manage the IS presence on, and as needed, provide strategic and timely communication support to leadership, incident response teams, affected Accenture people and client teams in times of high severity cyber incidents. The person will also be responsible for tracking short- and long-term IS projects, using these metrics to update leadership reports and populate desirable award applications.

Responsibilities include:   

  • Strong message development skills used to support and guide our people and our client teams on understanding data security and managing cyber incidents.

  • PowerPoint presentation design and polishing of existing and new content, applying an easy-to- understand approach to explaining often complex security issues and policies.

  • For high-profile leadership communications or incident response messaging, work with IS and Accenture leadership and Subject Matter Experts on messaging content, managing the review and approval process, and ensure targeted distribution through various communication channels and tools. 

  • May be asked to assist with the creation of client-facing assets – blogs, videos, podcasts, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of Marketing and Communications experience

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Accenture experience a plus

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Project management skills

Professional Skills:

  • Strong message development and sensitivity to managing highly confidential communications

  • Quick start, independent thinker

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

  • Good balance between strategic thinking and attention to detail

  • Ability to balance various tasks, at times against deadline

  • Leadership presence and ability to work effectively with executives 

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $73,764 - $170,100 and information on benefits offered is here.
