Overview of North America (NA) Marketing + Communications
The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accenture’s $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada). Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accenture’s leaders, and engages and inspires the company’s North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves.
Develop the overall strategy and execute exceptional, unique and can’t miss event experiences for the Resources Executive Events in an agile, innovative and truly human way, reflecting a customer-obsessed and operationally effective approach. The primary events include the Global Energy Board (GEB), the Global Mining Council (GMC) and the International Utilities and Energy Conference (IUEC), which are all critical components to fabric of the industry programs.
Seamlessly develop events and provide clients a consistently superior high-touch, event experience.
Conceptualize, and manage events in support of large-scale, industry-leading event programs
Assemble high quality agendas including recommending and securing relevant speakers
Ensure the content presented reflects the latest disruption and trends within the industry
Communicate and coordinate client invitations and membership with the Client Account Lead
Project management of each event to ensure it is planned and executed well and within budget
Works seamlessly with the Industry Sector Leads, Industry Marketing Leads, Accenture Events Team and suppliers to ensure connected, consistent, compliant and efficient delivery of services to clients and customers
Keep knowledge base updated on industry trends and apply new approaches as appropriate
Partner with the events team to coordinate event venue searches and finalize venue contract details, completing necessary procurement processes
Manages relationships and contracts with service providers to deliver value-added services and competitive costs
Monitors and manages compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needs
Event follow up, debrief and analysis
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Event management for a minimum of 10 years, executive events for a minimum of 5 years
Knowledge of the hospitality industry
Advanced knowledge of and experience in managing special events and targeted customer engagements that achieve goals and generate results
Skilled negotiator and ability to foster consultative relationships that drive incremental value for all stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, impeccable customer service and creativity in problem-solving
Self-starter, with an adeptness for organization
Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills, including strong verbal and PowerPoint acumen
Current with industry trends
Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve events
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $110,376
