Data Strategy @ Droga5
Great strategy is about making the right choices and the right choices are driven by data. At Droga5 that’s why data strategy is the foundation of our strategy approach. We use data to focus our efforts on the brand experience. The Droga5 data strategy team does this by combining analytical skills with a comprehensive toolset in order to identify growth opportunities for brands in culture, with audiences, in communications and through new or optimized brand experiences. Our job is to take a holistic view of data, mining it for insights that make our work more effective.
The Group Data Strategy Director is responsible for leading the design and championing of innovative strategies and analytic solutions that drive effectiveness and deliver against client goals. The Group Director is the primary owner of the client relationship and will partner with both internal teams and external clients to plan, execute and evaluate strategic marketing initiatives. They are also the leader of the team responsible for nurturing and developing all team members.
Lead and own client relationships and senior internal relationships, highlighting the role of data strategy
Define the work of data strategy across the core areas of audience insight, brand experience and measurement strategy, as a team, and on specific client businesses
Identifying areas to support client's approach to advertising and marketing strategy, from planning through to reporting
Generate and share best practices across the team
Grow, nurture and develop their team in the technical skills, knowledge and abilities
Define, demonstrate and champion how the outputs of data strategy lead to innovative and effective work
Initiate future data strategy approaches
Grow the Droga5 business with existing clients and new clients through participation in new business
Maintain knowledge of relevant case studies, data, tools and approaches using it to continually define best in class work
Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing analytics or similar
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
Creative agency, market research or media agency background work
Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of market research techniques, qualitative and quantitative
Demonstrated expertise in writing, storytelling and data visualization
Advanced proficiency of digital and social analytics including website, media, etc. as well as social listening tools such as Netbase etc.
Expert ability to utilize various research methodologies, media research, and external data sources
Experience scoping analytic engagements and effectively leading multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of statistical techniques and programming languages is desired (e.g. R/Python)
Awarded data strategy work and evidence of thought leadership
Multicultural marketing experience a plus
