THE WORK:
- You’ll Lead and manage a team of water and wastewater professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal performance and career development.
- You’ll Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of water and wastewater management processes. You’ll issue and prepare permits following technical review, ensuring alignment with Public Works, Engineering Department standards, development conditions, and city ordinances.
- You’ll Oversee project management activities, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- You’ll Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, environmental, regulatory, and finance departments, to align goals and priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- You’ll Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to water and wastewater management, and integrate relevant advancements into group practices and projects.
- You’ll Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and industry partners to promote collaboration, secure new business opportunities, and uphold the company's reputation for excellence. You’ll respond to development-related inquiries and complaints, evaluating potential solutions, and presenting recommendations to supervisors to resolve issues effectively.
- You’ll Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, and champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the group.
- You’ll Lead and manage water and wastewater projects, including program management, project management, construction management, and inspection services, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- You’ll Provide expert technical guidance and strategic advice on water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, with a focus on optimizing performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- You’ll Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and interdisciplinary project teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that address water and wastewater challenges, enhance resilience, and improve community outcomes.
- You’ll Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of water and wastewater systems, infrastructure, and facilities, identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization, and risk mitigation.
- You’ll Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables, ensuring effective project management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
- You’ll Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate project findings, recommendations, and outcomes to diverse audiences, including clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- You’ll Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, and maintaining a customer-centric approach to project delivery and client satisfaction.
- You’ll Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and best practices related to water and wastewater management, and apply this knowledge to enhance project performance and deliver innovative solutions.

$180,000 - $250,000 a year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Water Resources Management, or a related field
- Registered as a Civil Engineer in the state of California
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience water and wastewater management, with a focus on program management, project management, construction management, or inspection services
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in working with clients in LA California leading and managing water and wastewater construction projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Master’s degree
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, manage budgets and schedules, and mitigate risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and project teams and effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
- Commitment to delivering high-quality services, fostering collaboration, and driving results in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
