The Release Train Engineer (RTE) has overall responsibility for Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within Mortgage Cadence LLC software product development. This role leads and coaches the ARTs and coordinates and facilitates pre planning and planning for each program increment. The RTE interacts frequently with internal stakeholders to communicate status, resolve impediments, and facilitate strategic software roadmap planning. The RTE supervises and coaches scrum masters within the organization and drives continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Specific responsibilities of the RTE include
  • Establish and communicate the program increment and sprint calendars
  • Facilitate program increment pre-planning
  • Facilitate program increment planning
  • Track program increment status and communicate within the ARTs and to stakeholders and leadership
  • Facilitate inspect and adapt workshops
  • Facilitate system demonstrations
  • Facilitate weekly ART syncs
  • Coach all participants within the ARTs as well as stakeholders and leadership in SAFe and Agile practices
  • Escalate and monitor increment and ART level impediments
  • Facilitate feature and capability estimates
  • Promote and enable continuous improvement
  • Optimize the flow of value through the ART
  • Understand and manage to budget and operational guidelines
  • Train other team members on scaled Agile development
  • Define and refine processes and maintain process documentation
  • Assist or lead new hire assessment and selection

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years working within a formal software development lifecycle
  • Minimum of 2 years working within an Agile development process
  • Minimum of 2 years using application lifecycle management software, such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Minimum of 2 years managing stakeholder communications and expectations at the management or leadership level
  • Minimum of 1 years serving as an RTE within a scaled Agile framework OR a minimum of 2 years serving as a scrum master within a scaled agile framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience(preferred)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • PowerBI
  • Mortgage industry knowledge and loan origination system (LOS) experience
  • SAFe RTE or SPC certification

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $132,700-$165,199 and information on benefits offered is here.
