You are:

The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps teams self organize, self manage, and deliver by teaching and coaching effective Agile practices.

The work:

You demonstrate Scrum Master experience, particularly in the following areas:

  • Exhibit Lean Agile leadership and helping team members embrace Agile values, adopting and applying Agile Principles, and implementing Agile practices

  • Promote Agile quality practices so the team can meet its goals. Identify and work to mitigate impediments.

  • Lead and or support product roadmap development.

  • Facilitate all team meetings, including but not limited to the daily stand up, Iteration Planning, Team Demo, and Iteration Retrospective.

  • Guide the team in estimating the team's work.

  • Keep the team focused on daily and iteration goals to include achieving results, quality, flow and velocity.

  • Ensure team follows standards developed for code development, automated testing and build procedures.

  • Ensure team follows standards for code version control, quality and documentation.

The work:

  • Act as a servant leader to the Scrum Team by embracing SAFe Core Values, applying SAFe Principles, implementing SAFe practices, and utilizing ScrumXP rules.

  • Help scrum team achieve in areas including quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Helps team focus on daily and Sprint Goals in the context of current PI Objectives. Guides team in establishing normalized story points for estimating user stories.

  • Facilitates all team meetings, including the daily stand up, Sprint Planning, Team Demos, and Retrospectives. Attend and represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums meetings.

  • Collaborate with other impacted teams e.g. Other Scrum or Product teams, Product Owners, Stakeholders to ensure alignment between priorities, scope, and all deployment related activities.

Qualifications

Here's what you need:

  • 2 years of experience performing as a scrum master utilizing SAFe methodologies or similar Agile servant leadership role.

  • 2 years of experience with facilitating communication/collaboration with client and development team staff through in-person and virtual settings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • SAFe Certified Scrum Master or other Scrum Master certifications

  • Prior experience in software development, preferably in a Java/open source technical environment

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $80,300 to $112,399 and information on benefits offered is here: https://www.accenture.com/us-en/careers/local/total-rewards
