Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Operations professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world.

You Are

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to work on large customer reference and evidence programs with our clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, and a great communicator who thrives in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. The team depends on each other constantly for help and information. A 'team player' in this role is a must.

The Global Reference Analyst will start as a customer reference recruiter fulfillment evidence promoter. Experience with sales and marketing operations tools and databases will help this person be successful from the start. The ideal candidate will use their verbal and written communications skills to encourage customers to share their positive experiences in case studies, with press and industry analysts, or with other customers.

The successful candidate will also support sales teams by providing the right references and evidence at the right time in the sales cycle; these customer reference efforts are critical for driving sales revenue, increasing market credibility and demonstrating the business value of our client's solutions. The Global Reference Analyst will be a Pre-sales specialist who will support the account teams at the 'Prove Value' sales stage in finding suitable references. 

Key Responsibilities

Top Deal Support

  • Support all top deals by specialty area thresholds dependent on product scenario.

  • Proactively attach sales services when needed, help unblock sales blockers, and fulfill reference requests.

  • Work with Account Owner, Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, Pre-sales engineers where appropriate, to gather background on existing deal parameters to create a reference support package for account owner.

  • Manage and fulfill reference requests submitted in reference tool by top deal opportunity owners.

  • Collect sales blocker and provide feedback to stakeholders.

  • Weekly triage to ensure progress.


  • Provide escalation support for strategic and high visibility requests.

  • Support CRRs and CRFs as the product Subject Matter Expert for each specialty area.

  • Provide product updates and trainings as needed to CRRs and CRFs.

AR and PR Requests

  • Basic analyst request fulfillment at least 4 weeks notice and 5 or less customer participation.

  • Showcase Support managing reference activities of a predefined segment of the assigned product group's Showcase customer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in high tech sales or marketing;

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with Customer Evidence or running a customer reference desk;

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint products or equivalent classes and course work before starting;

  • Ability to consume data from Excel and Power BI reports, build reports using pivot tables, match data with the Vlookup function, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA Degree, with focus in marketing, business, communications, or related field strongly preferred.

  • MSFT experience preferred, as its important to understand how the company and business works, how it's structured, what roles exist, and how the sales pipeline works.

  • Experience leading calls with internal and external customers.

  • Experience talking to c-level executives; comfortable talking to people in many different roles in our client's large organization.

  • Background in marketing fundamentals including segmentation, audience, positioning, and market analysis, customer lifecycle, etc.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and data intelligence skills

  • Flexible and intuitive personality, gracefully manages complex internal and client relationships.

Soft Skills Needed:

  • Demonstrable sense of humor, humility, and confidence is required.

  • Team player, exceptionally positive attitude, professionalism, pride in work.

  • Ability to manage time with moving pieces; effectively, confidently, prioritize tasks with little to no direction supervision.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Detail oriented, process oriented and outgoing person

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are very important since the role interacts directly with field personnel, marketing professionals, and customers.

  • High degree of patience, precision and tact

  • Willingness to work around roadblocks and lack of responsiveness with charm and persistence.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $48,600- $88,299 and information on benefits offered is here.
