Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Customer Service Representative, ANS
THE WORK:
- You’ll develop, coordinate, promote, and implement the client’s customer service goals and objectives.
- You’ll provide proactive customer assistance and advocacy regarding utility billing issues.
- You’ll serve as the spokesperson for the client on all issues with the media and various community groups (i.e., schools, civic organizations, homeowners associations, etc.).
- You’ll actively participate in a community outreach program to promote the client’s goals and objectives with other governmental entities.
- You’ll serve as a resource for builders and developers regarding connections within our service areas.
- You’ll represent the client before other governmental agencies, including city and county commission meetings.
- You’ll produce and coordinate publications, brochures, newsletters, videos, web information, and other materials.
- You’ll initiate new strategies to improve existing efforts and advise program and project managers to enhance community relations.
- You’ll develop strategies and methods to enhance and encourage public involvement.
- You’ll prepare and present written and verbal communications for various audiences.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public administration, business, planning/community development, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in customer/public assistance work

- Successfully built a team approach to customer problem-solving and resolved complex issues
- Experience presenting to elected officials, civic organizations, and neighborhood groups
- Skill in making sound decisions and exercising sound judgment in various situations
- Proficiency in coordinating customer service issues with officials and the public
- Ability to establish effective relationships with diverse groups, including the public, co-workers, and officials
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present information clearly
- Knowledge of public relations strategies, media relations, and public involvement techniques
- Skill in designing and managing public involvement programs and promotional materials
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals
- Experience in problem-solving, utilizing analytical skills to address customer concerns and resolve issues
