You Are:

The Corporate Services Category Lead for Procurement Plus (P+) will be responsible for providing category management support for the categories of Finance services, Legal services, Marketing and HR. You will collaborate closely with Global, Regional and Country level colleagues to meet the objectives of P+ and its stakeholders. Some expectations include creating NA category strategy plans that align with internal stakeholder goals, reflect current marketplace conditions, and support P+ initiatives. This role will also support the negotiations of agreements with key strategic suppliers while driving innovation with these partners.

The Work:

Lead and coordinate the Corporate Services categories on a Regional level:

  • Set Regional targets in alignment with the Global Category Leads and Corporate Services Category Director

  • Perform strategic analysis and evaluation of data, market insights, and contracts to identify opportunities

  • Be a driving force to proactively suggest innovative ideas to help transform Corporate Services within the Future Enterprise organization as well as other stakeholder groups, as needed

  • Drive P+ value contribution and service while ensuring compliance with policies and strategies

  • Communicate, execute, and implement Regional category initiatives, support Global initiatives

  • Lead, coordinate, oversee or assign Regional sourcing/procurement activities, support Global activities

  • Review and approve Regional category strategy definitions and project execution

  • Assist with target setting and category planning in alignment with the Global Category Leads

Manage the P+ Corporate Services categories on a Regional level:

  • Foster knowledge sharing between Global/Regional/Local P+ and Corporate Services category resources

  • Be a category transformation enabler by seeking cross category synergies and opportunities of alignment with stakeholders and the market

  • Support the Global Corporate Services Category Director with the identification of stakeholders and definition of strategies

  • Benchmark category practices with Global trends to identify initiatives for improvement

  • Be aware of the impact of changing requirements, including legislation and policies

  • Encourage team spirit through category community engagement

Ensure successful implementation of Regional strategy and agreements:

  • Coordinate resource allocation to support Regional initiatives

  • Lead Regional category strategy development and implementation

  • Ensure Regional/local negotiations and sourcing activities are in line with Global category strategies

  • Support profitability (including business development) related to Corporate Services across the Global Accenture organization

  • Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies

Manage supplier and customer relationships on a Regional level:

  • Manage Regional and some Global supplier relationships in line with the Global Corporate Services Category Director, Global Category Leads and Future Enterprise strategy

  • Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders

  • Manage internal customer feedback on category organization & supplier performance

  • Consolidate requirements and act as business partner across Functions and Subcategories

  • Proactively organize a regular cadence of touchpoints with internal stakeholders to identify value contribution opportunities

  • Ensure that input from stakeholders is considered in the category strategy and sourcing processes

  • Manage a detailed pipeline of upcoming projects and opportunities gained from regular touchpoints with stakeholders

  • Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolutions in line with Regional and Global targets

Perform category management activities for Regional projects:

  • Drive supplier performance by discussing lessons learned across different markets

  • Support in supplier selection and perform fact-based negotiations

  • Involve stakeholders for actions related to supplier base optimization and Key Performance Indicator implementation

  • Drive deep Corporate Services market intelligence into all aspects of the P+ value proposition to the business

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 6 years in a procurement environment, with international project and people management elements, specifically in the categories of Finance services, Legal services, Marketing and HR

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization

Bonus Points:

  • Expert in category management, sourcing as well as project management and planning

  • Excellent knowledge of procurement and category strategy development and conveyance

  • Proven knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, including negotiation tactics and savings calculations

  • Proven knowledge of the various dimensions of Corporate Services and commercial models

  • Advanced in analytics and the ability to analyze specifications and influence demand

  • Very strong in stakeholder and relationship management, as well as supplier management

  • Strong capability to independently interact throughout the broader Accenture organization

  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $62,640 - $143,900 and information on benefits offered is here.
