Clinical Innovation deals with assisting clients in transformation of their delivery capabilities, particularly in regard to the direct delivery of care, how it is measured, and how it is paid for. The purpose of this role is to provide senior consulting leadership in Health Equity for the firm, which includes, but is not limited to the following domains:
- Understanding racial and social disparities in the delivery of care, their drivers, and how to overcome them
- Measurement of health disparities, and root cause analyses in specific data
- Understanding how to address the manifestations of conscious and unconscious bias in the provision of health care
- Understanding of innovations found nationally and internationally in Health Equity, and how to bring them to our clients
- Value proposition to payer, provider, and health services clients who successfully address Social Determinants of Health at the population and individual levels
- In addition to the focus on Health Equity, the candidate will also need a set of core skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:- Clinical process improvement
- Care Model transformation
- Health system management
- Population Health Management
- Health data analytics

Job Description:
Health Equity Lead will be responsible for Architect and deliver consulting and innovation solutions and services and provide sales support within a clearly defined area of functional expertise that is supported by the business. The role holder adds credibility to Accenture's reputation during the sales process and deep expertise through delivery phase. In addition, the role holder will contribute to and lead asset/offering development and thought leadership activities.
1. Responsibilities:
- Extend Accenture thought leadership in topics related to health equity, with the intention of driving awareness internally and externally of social and business values affected by health equity
- Enhance Accenture’s Brand specific to Health Equity through industry presentations, published thought capital, and social media/online forums
- Articulation of the value of addressing health equity for clients (population and individual levels)
- Translating innovation, strategy, and technology services into offerings which can drive client value in relation to improvement of health equity
- C-Suite conversations that articulate the value of addressing health equity in either incremental or transformational approaches
- Development and management of offerings in the relevant core skills domains above, in line with Accenture Health practice strategic goals
- Development of sales strategies, with existing and new clients, to identify areas where Health Equity as an area of practice will drive competitive differentiation for Accenture
- Understanding Effectively collaborate with other key Accenture leaders in Strategy, Technology, Analytics, and Functional practices for development and delivery of solutions relating to Health Equity for clients
- Shaping and leading business solution implementations: defining and supervising business architecture, process design and development activities, developing capabilities and performance measurements/KPIs.
- Implementing plans and leading teams to execute project deliverables on target, on time and on budget, managing full scope of Accenture team and associated contract delivery. Managing project financials.
- Assessing and managing risk throughout the project life-cycle and making adjustments as needed to ensure planned business outcomes are achieved
- Designing the projects overall communication strategy and approach for the targeted change journey
- Managing client expectations, and negotiating among key stakeholders to yield win-win outcomes
- Understanding and use of advanced technologies in the delivery of care and services to patients, including artificial intelligence, analytics, virtual health (telemedicine and remote monitoring), and patient-guided self-education

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of Health industry experience as a clinical leader with experience in Health Equity
- Well-acknowledged national luminary presence in Health Equity as a speaker, thinker, and author
- Minimum of 3 years of Consulting experience
- Medical degree or Doctoral degree in a relevant health-related field
- Experience with the domains mentioned in section I
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Understanding of how to use data to develop value benefits models, track, and articulate success
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payment models and innovation programs Preferred Skills:

- Proven ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
