Job Description: Strategic Marketing Manager - CSO Program + Positioning

Corporate Functions – Marketing + Communications
As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in helping Accenture execute its strategy. You’ll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate and financial communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.
YOUR ROLE: CSO Program + Positioning
You are a strong business communicator who can design and execute content-led marketing and communications strategies that inspire and compel an audience. You are a strong team player who can work independently yet understands the importance of being a positive collaborator in a multi-disciplinary team in a large matrixed organization. You will operate as a marketing partner within the larger M+C community, teaming on key initiatives with the aim to support Office of the CSO programs that ensure maximum engagement, leverage and amplification.
You have a minimum of 8 years’ Marketing + Communications or related experience, and demonstrate a passion for big, bold ideas. You enjoy storytelling, and you are a lifelong learner who understands the value of experiencing both success and failure. You aren’t afraid to try new ideas, and you are passionate about executing with the most relevant tactics while staying true to a strategy. You will have broad experience of a range of marketing programs. A strategic thinker, you have the ability to cope with ambiguity by leveraging your strong creative skills and marketing flair. You are a passionate collaborator with the required skills and ability to scale and industrialize programs connecting to the wider Accenture business. Strong skills in content creation, curation and management will be a significant advantage. Experience within the technology or innovation ecosystem, together with significant experience in professional business media, agency or publishing are distinct advantages to succeed in this role.

G&S has a wide scope and includes overseeing all aspects of the company’s strategy, strategy implementation, innovation programs and investments. This includes Corporate Strategy, Ventures and Acquisitions, Accenture Research and Thought Leadership, Strategy & Competitor Intelligence, Responsible Business, and Offering Development & Knowledge Services.
The Marketing + Communications team for G&S provides comprehensive, global marketing and communications programs – for both external and internal audiences – that support a variety of programs across G&S. We have an opportunity on our team for an experienced Marketing + Communications Manager to support our key programs for the Office of the Chief Strategy officer (CSO). The successful candidate will use external and internal marketing strategies to drive a greater understanding of key CSO programs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Support the design and execution of internal and external communications projects for Office of the CSO programs; deep experience across a variety of marketing channels (media, social, internal, etc).
  • Leverage your considerable communications skills, including planning, strong writing and editing, and program design, to support our most strategic global programs.
  • Collaborate with the global M+C team on key communications programs, aligning objectives and calendars, with the aim to further streamline M+C activity.
  • Participate in marketing strategy meetings, assisting with internal content development and amplification, and internal brand positioning.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to secure a pipeline of content which coincides with important events and core communications initiatives.
  • Manage program budgets in cooperation with leadership.


YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, university degree or equivalent
  • Marketing and Communications Manager with a minimum of 8 years’ B2B marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business media, publishing, and/or research experience (8+ yrs.) 
  • Business acumen, strong project management capability, and executive presence
  • Senior stakeholder management confidence and experience 
  • Highly experienced in the development and production of interactive content
Professional Skills
  • Digitally savvy - social and web page + video and audio production content skill set.
  • Must have worked on client facing and content-based marketing programs, ideally with a global scope
  • Enjoys finding elegant solutions amid complexity, a personality that enjoys puzzles
  • Superior oral and written communications skills, and presentation skills
  • A keen eye for good design, very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, experience working with MS Teams and other collaboration applications
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
