Job Description

Deliver high-quality rule documents based on in-depth analysis of functional requirements. Provide system enhancements while resolving issues, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction. Must be able to understand and translate complex policy into maintainable, robust rule code. Responsible for all phases of rule modeling including analysis, modeling, testing (automated and ad hoc), and deployment. Perform integration tasks using Java, Hibernate, and XML technologies. - Design, author and unit test business rules in Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) - Read and interpret complex business rules, policies, and regulations, and translate to OPA rule documents - Work with subject matter experts to understand requirements, legislation, and policy - Build automated decision systems using knowledge engineering techniques. - Identify and organize the underlying logic of complex rule sets. - Author intermediary rule design documentation such as rule model diagrams

The work:

· Help clients understand leading business processes so they can transform their business with Oracle

· Spot strategies, risks and options, and then recommend approaches that sidestep problems and help clients and functions meet their needs

· Lead, coach and advise a small project team in addition to managing their performance (depending upon the structure of a project)

· Give clients options for designs using prototypes

· Set up, document and test the Oracle system; understand and apply Oracle methodologies

· Work with clients and stakeholders to make sure they get where they want to go

· Gain the trust of your client, teammates, and managers to make sure projects get delivered

· Keep growing your skills to help your team with business development and sales efforts

· Stay in the know on leading industry trends and Oracle features to give your clients the best solutions for their needs

· Be ready to rack up those air miles with weekly travel to client sites Monday through Thursday

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Java/J2EE development
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Hibernate
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Spring
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Policy Automation
  • Must be willing to travel 25-50% if needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of 12 years work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with rule development with OPA and its integrated development environment, Oracle Policy Modeling (OPM)
  • Ability to design, author, and develop business rules based on requirements using (OPA
  • Experience testing and debugging OPA rules.
  • Experience creating and editing question screens using OPM
  • Ability to establish connections using the OPA Hub
  • Experience working in teams with several OPA developers and using different version control systems or the OPA Collaboration Cloud Service.
  • Experience with the following technologies is desirable: CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, XSD, Web Services."
