Software Engineering Application Development Manager – Detroit, MI

Job Desription:
Accenture LLP has multiple openings for Software Engineering Application Development Manager positions in Detroit, MI to work on gap analysis of client processes and propose improvements based on Supply Chain Manufacturing. S/he will perform the following duties: design/customize/modify SAP pre-configured work packages, software programs, and business processes to reduce development implementation time and optimize operational efficiency; assess incidents and change requests, and oversee ticket queue and ticket allocation; assess risks and issues, and communicate them to leadership; confer with analysts, engineers, and programmers to design system and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, and interfaces; facilitate business requirements gathering and perform SAP system design and configuration utilizing Supply Chain Manufacturing Framework tools; perform SAP testing and work across several functional, development, and technical teams on project for planning, mobilizing, blueprinting, realization, and deployment of various system and interface enhancements and developments; establish frameworks and processes based on industry best practices, and design/develop software systems and using analysis and models to predict/measure outcomes; assist with overall performance using performance testing, and tweak system with development/configuration to optimize response time; and oversee system defects resolution of Supply Chain Manufacturing (SCM) Application Management and Production Support teams. This position requires domestic travel approximately 10% of an average work year.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering (any), plus 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in related IT positions, including the following professional experience: 6 years performing SAP Supply Change Management including Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution, Material Management, Warehouse Management, and SAP modules integration; 6 years using  Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); 3 years overseeing project and performance, managing issues/risks and stakeholder relationships, and using budget/hours/deliverables tracking tool; and 2 years programming in Basic SAP ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) for development and troubleshooting.
