Functional Strategy Manager – Boston, MA

Job Description:
Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Functional Strategy Manager in Boston, MA to lead our engagement teams in the Sourcing and Procurement Strategy group deliver on client needs. S/he will perform the following duties: develop strategic plans and objectives and oversees portfolio of projects that make up the strategic plan; develop goals and objectives for Procurement department, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals; apply industry skills benchmarking efforts and develops groups outside of network to promote best practice sharing; establish standards, process, and metrics for scorecard development; ensure alignment of the Procurement Scorecard with business objectives and updates scorecard as required; report status to leadership and functional area teams; manage allocation of project budget and reallocates funds as necessary to support of new projects and programs; work with leadership to analyze budget trends, identify potential shortfalls, and develops response plans as needed; manage information and data across Procurement; manage appropriate Procurement and Business Partner relationships to ensure business deliverables are met; provides Category Management and Supplier Management direction; plan and develops operating policies, guidelines and procedures; develops and implements repeatable Talent Management process that meets needs of the entire Procurement function; manage Category Council and designs development of all Partner to Pay processes; identify continuous improvement initiatives targeted to meet the needs of stakeholders, control cost, deliver value to business units and improve user satisfaction with process; develop technology strategy and vision and technical requirements for entire suite of technology tools; collaborate with IT function to review and evaluate new technology to support continued evolution of best in class processes. 

Positions are based in Boston, MA but require domestic travel up to 90% of an average work week.


Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, International Business Management, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience in the Business/Strategy industry including the following professional experience: 3 years of experience in applying zero based spend, zero based supply chain, and zero based budgeting; 3 years of experience in developing cost takeout and sustainable procurement strategy; 3 years of experience in developing advanced spend analytics and should cost modeling; 3 years of experience in  developing procurement operating model design; 3 years of experience utilizing procurement technology and digital disruptors; and 3 years of experience developing supplier relationship management.
