The Drupal Developer will be involved hands on in designing, coding, enhancing and testing of software applications to meet business process requirements.  He/she applies functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications. 

 

As a Drupal Developer, responsibilities include maintenance of existing Drupal implementation, as well as involvement in other strategic Drupal opportunities.  He/She will be responsible for configuring Drupal 8 core modules, creating content types, views, roles and permissions, navigation, menus, taxonomy, actions and workflows. Role will also require the candidate to work with the existing Web development team to extend and update the user interface for three existing Production websites as they transition to a client-side modern web application architecture.




Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-year Technical Bachelor’s Degree (i.e. Computer Science) or 2-years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in development against the Drupal content management platform, including experience of PHP-based customization
  • 2 years of experience with maintenance of existing Drupal implementation, as well as involvement in other strategic Drupal opportunities
  • 1 year of JavaScript development experience or server side Java web development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Spring and Spring MVC frameworks             
  • Professional experience working hands-on with Java & OOP Design
  • Java development experience utilizing web-based applications such as J2EE, JDK, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and HTML
  • Experience with the following technologies, platforms and languages: J2EE 1.5, XML, JSP, CSS, JavaScript
  • Strong preference for 4 year degree in Computer Science or related field, will consider 2 year degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realize value
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that facilitates high performance and motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Ability to complete task on set budgetary parameters and targets
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
