Oracle Product Owner Manager– Atlanta, GA

Job Description:
Accenture LLP is seeking Oracle Product Owner Managers in Atlanta, GA to drive the vision for the software product that is to be built and maintained. S/he will perform the following duties: Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for clients across various industries (5%); serve as functional or client needs expert for software product (7.5%); work with Product Manager (customer) to understand customer needs and plan solutions, and to ensure that each release provides business value to end users, sales, and marketing (7.5%); collaborate with the Program Manager to coordinate project schedules, budgets, and staffing (5%); set operational specifications (5%); formulate and analyze software requirements (5%); build automation jobs for OS, DB, Application, Logs management and monitoring (5%); drive the solution concept development process (5%); work with Product Management (customer) to obtain subject matter expertise in the project's domain (5%); create and maintain regularly the solution vision, roadmap, and backlog of work through the project's life cycle (5%); take ownership of the solution functionality and manage solution releases content and schedules (5%); communicate the solution vision, roadmap, and backlog of work, including success criteria, to development team so that they can provide work estimates and accept and complete work to the satisfaction of the stakeholders (5%); serve as the Product Management (customer) proxy and decision point to represent the stakeholders in the project (5%); communicate with the Product Manager (customer) on a regular basis to provide feedback on progress of implementation of the vision (5%); handle project risk and resolve project issues (5%); verify the functionality  and quality of project products (5%); ensure end-user acceptance and understanding (5%); participate in the development of proposals validating the solution approach within cost and scope (5%); and develop methodology for software engineering projects that are different from the traditional standard methodology (5%). Positions are based in Atlanta, GA., but domestic travel to client sites will be required 75% of average work week.



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering (any), plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in IT, including the following professional experience: 5 years of experience performing infrastructure planning, TCO estimation and capacity planning for Oracle Database, Oracle Forms, ADF and Java based applications; 5 years of experience coordinating with clients to determine technical and architecture business needs for system design; 5 years of experience building automation jobs for OS, DB, Application, Logs management and monitoring; and 5 years of experience developing software system testing or validation procedures.
