Job Description:
The Web Designer will be part of an Accenture team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community (IC) organization. The candidate will use their skills to deliver an innovative knowledge base and collaborative work space solution utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and REST calls to facilitate and automate better business processes and knowledge management. The candidate should be driven by curiosity, exploring techniques to provide an enhanced user experience for our customer. This role requires an extensive amount of self-initiative and the ability to work independently. The candidate will collaborate directly with the client and functional lead. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading workshops and documenting the optimal site design(s) for customer’s document-sharing requirements.
  • Promote user adoption through user and site manager training, consultation, and support of existing functionality.
  • Designing and developing customization to the existing site.
  • Providing support and guidance to users on site features and functionalities.
  • Developing solutions for business process automation.
  • Translating wireframes and design mocks into web based prototypes.


Qualifications

Minimum Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree (in Business, Information Management, or IT related field preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years client-facing consulting experience
  • Minimum 2 years customer requirements gathering experience
  • Minimum 2 years of programming experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and additional Web-standard scripting languages
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • SharePoint Designer and Workflow experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Proven track record of strong communication and collaboration skills (oral and written; good briefing skills)
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
