IT Support Lead - Scientific Systems

The primary responsibilities of an IT Lead, Scientific Applications you will act as the liaison between the scientific community and the IT enterprise organization. This person will be exposed to and support over 100 R&D applications used in state-of-the-art cancer research. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: oversee support staff and assist as necessary, coordinate with IT enterprise services, ensure that a best-in-class customer support experience is provided, triage scientific application issues, oversight and execution of complex scientific systems application life cycle. This position will be based in Seattle, WA focused on both new and existing research & development scientific applications.
 
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Escalation point for issues from level 1 and level 2
  • Escalation point for required back end changes
  • Project Management of critical issue fixes and new improvements
  • Serves as a technical mentor/teacher to customers and other team members
  • Contributes to continuous process improvements within helpdesk function
  • Provide hands on technical support services and troubleshooting to users located in the Seattle, WA and other R&D locations
  • Collaborate with other support groups (e.g. IT help desk, IT infrastructure, IT Identity/Access Management, IT security, and Onsite support) for Celgene scientific applications
  • Provide application administration for various scientific systems. Administration would include granting, modifying, removing access/permissions for software applications. Provide installation and upgrade support of software applications
  • Provide and/or acquire technical expertise for all supported scientific applications
  • Create, maintain and update knowledge base articles for all supported scientific applications
  • Documentation - Develop and keep current “points of failure” and process documentation. Creates and maintains Desktop operating procedures
  • Maintain and update scientific application information in ServiceNow (Asset Management, CMDB, and Software License Modules)
