Accenture Federal Services is looking for an experienced, proactive communications professional who can think strategically, engage audiences with clear, compelling writing, and serve as a trusted advisor to advance the business objectives of our corporate Legal team.

Our Legal team includes Legal, Government Relations, Contract Management, and the office of the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.  Together we help AFS achieve high performance, operating effective systems of compliance and risk management, and creating a culture of trust and integrity where people are free to do their best work.

The successful candidate will have a strong command of the written and spoken word, exceptional editing skills, superior business acumen, and the interpersonal skills required to connect, engage, inform, and inspire diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops and executes high-quality communications strategies and deliverables from conception to completion in support of General Counsel, CECO, and Legal functional leads
• Creates content for internal communications, including executive communications, town halls/presentations, talking points/key messages, newsletters, videos, and articles to engage a variety of audiences
• Creates compelling narratives and messaging that drive awareness, understanding, engagement, and actionable steps in support of business and learning objectives
• Contributes to the development of effective training in multiple formats
• Supports Legal department strategic planning and change management processes
• Assists in development and curation of industry and social presence for executives; develops keynote and panel presentations
• Serves as liaison across departments to ensure high-quality content standards and consistency in communications; identify issues and opportunities for strategic alignment, clarity, accuracy
• Measures and reports the effectiveness of communications channels, messaging, tactics/collateral, and other activities, including audience readership, understanding, and engagement; determines and adopts ways for continuous improvement
• Leverages the full array of communications vehicles (electronic, print, video, face-to-face, etc.); evaluates new tools and technologies to improve delivery efficiency, convenience, accuracy, and engagement



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree (communications, journalism, English or related field preferred)
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a communications role in an agency or large company
  • 5 years demonstrating exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communications skills; AP Style, grammar, and punctuation proficiency; ability to develop clear, concise, and compelling content on complex topics for diverse audiences; high attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to proactively recommend, design and execute communications strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Broad business acumen and ability to quickly grasp concepts across multiple business disciplines
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines, work accurately under pressure, and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, and also collaborate and influence across multiple functions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (especially Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in the training development process
  • Experience in the change management process

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
