Position Title:

Application Development Specialist (Multiple Positions)

Responsibilities:

Application Development Specialist (Multiple Positions)   (Accenture LLP; Hartford, CT): Develop, design, and maintain software products or systems to support client strategies. Analyze, design, build, and test new components or enhancements to existing modules, under direct supervision. Work with team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications, as directed. Maintain applications according to SLAs. Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system roll outs, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications, under direct supervision. Understand strategic direction set by management as it relates to team goals. Seek guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments and develop skills needed to execute responsibilities.



Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience in the IT consulting industry.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Of the required experience, 3 years of experience must be in each of the following: 

Data Mart/Cubes/Reporting/Data Modeling/Data Visualization domain; 

Business intelligence & analytics and data warehouse design and development; 

Ab Initio's technologies, including the Enterprise Meta>Environment, Continuous>Flows, Conduct>It, and Business Rules Environment;

Teradata, DB2, and Oracle Database Architecture; and

Big Data Technology, including Hadoop and Hive. 


Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
