The Information Assurance Team Lead serves as the cybersecurity manager with regards to client Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization and assessment of information system(s) and all associated cybersecurity policies and procedures. Must be fully versed in the general tenets supporting the overall implementation and authorization process to include supporting cybersecurity policies, procedures, and processes. You will lead and develop cybersecurity controls and procedures while authorizing cloud information system(s) and serve as a SME for such information system(s) undergoing authorization to Impact Level 4 with privacy and cross-domain overlays. This individual will possess a deep understanding of the FedRAMP process and how the security controls identified in NIST 800-53 apply to the process of assessing and authorizing large organization IT infrastructure(s) and cloud technologies in which there is a compilation of large and small enclaves, applications, and outsourced IT processes. You will also ensure Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) controls are covered where applicable, determine the applicable severity value for an identified vulnerability (e.g., non-compliant security control), and determine the possible ramifications on the system’s current or future authorization.

In this role, you will also:
  • Lead, mentor, and provide quality assurance to cybersecurity team; ensure successful completion of required customer deliverables; provide performance evaluations to team members
  • Set vision and work with other leads on engineering team(s) to drive end to end security solutioning
  • Guide and execute definition of security objectives and system-level performance requirements
  • Develop and maintain project plan(s) for security-related program activities
  • Shape and support program through the ability to achieve Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) cloud accreditation(s) with aggressive timelines
  • Maintain security documentation for information system(s) under purview, to include System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M), hardware and software baselines, and written procedures for specialized processes
  • Validate secure system(s), test security products/systems to detect computer and information security weaknesses
  • Lead the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports
  • Lead periodic reviews of each system’s A&A package and monitor corrective actions to closure
  • Guide development of integrated system solution(s) ensuring protection of proprietary/confidential data and system(s)
  • Establish and execute strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks
  • Embrace complexity of interconnected environment(s) and system(s)

Qualifications

Basic Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant Information A&A experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience in assessing security controls and conducting authorization reviews for large, complex organizations
  • 5+ years of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • CompTIA Security +, (ISC)2 CISSP; ISACA CISM, CISA; PMI PMP
  • Two (2) years Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) experience
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoDI 8510.01 authorization and assessment experience
  • NIST 800-53 authorization and assessment experience
  • DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) experience
  • Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) accreditation criteria experience
  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud information assurance experience
  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) information assurance experience
  • DISA Boundary Cloud Access Point (BCAP) experience
  • Single-Sign-On (SSO), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) enablement experience
  • Ability to work in San Antonio, TX
