The Cyber Deployment Engineer Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Lead McAfee Engineer to support all aspects of the design and successful installation of one or more instances of Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Software Asset Management (SWAM) and Configuration Settings Management (CSM) platform based on McAfee ePO suite, McAfee Policy Auditor (PA) and McAfee Application Control (AC)
  • Take guidance from the Lead McAfee Engineer to assist with the activities related to the onboarding of Agencies to the solution, ensuring that SWAM and CSM information is obtained from the Agency infrastructure to the ePO server and to the Integration layer.
  • Assist with the development of the design and implementation of the solution to ensure proper data transfer of SWAM and CSM data from using SQL connector
  • Provide guidance to the operations and management team on addressing software compatibility issues with the Agency end-points. Serve as the liaison between McAfee and the TO2F team to address issues escalated to McAfee Tier 3 support
  • Provide technical support for the McAfee solution including monitoring performance of application, ensuring accuracy of data feeds to the Integration layer (Informatica) to include troubleshooting performance issues with ePO, PA, AC and the SQL connectors
  • Work with the Lead McAfee Engineer to implement new ePO / PA / AC versions when they are released. Validate data feeds to Integration layer and proper functionality of SWAM and CSM after deployment
  • Review known issues published by McAfee and identify potential impact to the Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS) solution
  • Provide assistance to the Tenable engineering team to assist with the collection of CSM data using Tenable
  • Create application documentation, drawings, how-to guides and other deliverables for both training and tool maintenance. Prepare technical designs with Visio diagrams and detailed descriptions.
  • Provide briefings to DHS and Agency customers regarding architectural best practices on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

Basic Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • 3 years of hands on experience with the design and implementation of McAfee ePO suite of products, especially Policy Auditor and Application Control version 5.3.3 or greater
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills to enable effective troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Implementing McAfee agents on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and MacOS 
  • Experience with 3rd party tool integration using McAfee API
  • Experience with FISMA, NIST, security standards
  • Knowledge of integrated security system architecture
  • Core competency of network design concepts and operation
  • In-depth experience with general IT security concepts, network security and monitoring practices/methodologies
  • Experience/knowledge of security-based software applications and tools
  • Experience presenting material to senior management level and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) dashboard technologies

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
