The people in our Corporate Function workforce play a leading role in our strategic and operational programs, acting as the agents of change within AFS itself.  They work in a wide range of functional areas including: human resources, marketing and communications, finance, legal, IT, facilities and services, research, business operations and sales development, and must continually evolve to meet the ever-changing demands of the marketplace to achieve higher performance both for ourselves and our clients.
 

The Information Technology Auditor Manager role is responsible for leading and executing a wide range of internal audit activities in a consistently high quality and timely manner. Associate Managers act as an In-Charge with appropriate responsibilities, including:

  • Act as In-Charge and supervise the overall completion of the individual audits when assigned

  • Plan audits when assigned In-Charge responsibilities in new or more complex areas and can determine appropriate scope for reviews based on risk assessment

  • Develop audit skills and establish/maintain relationships related to the risk areas assigned

  • Perform initial work paper reviews when assigned and assist in report issuance and closeout of audits with minimal management oversight.

  • Performing the detailed execution and communication of specific elements of the risk-based work plan, including AFS Federal Services (AFS) management and AFS Audit Committee special project requests.

  • Preparation of work papers, supporting schedules and report drafts in a timely and high-quality manner to ensure that adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions.

  • Managing auditee relationship, including facilitating all meetings and discussions of issues, and presentation of draft and final reports in a professional and high-quality manner.

  • Assessing and testing IT Controls over corporate assets, including: Identity and access management, segregation of duties, configuration management, system development, business continuity and disaster recovery, Cybersecurity, Cloud Infrastructure and database security, network security, Application controls, Data Privacy, post and pre implementation reviews, and third-party risk management. 

  • Responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementation of leading practices.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within IT risk and other processes and as appropriate, identify and recommend improvements to internal audit processes/controls.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Finance/Accounting with a minor in MIS (or relevant work experience in lieu of minor in MIS)
  • 7 years of experience within an IT audit or compliance function including information systems auditing or combined audit/IT audit experience with experience in areas to include: Costpoint, ERP applications, Windows, UNIX, Cloud and network technologies, relational database systems, MS SQL, system development and implementation
  • 2 years CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM experience
  • Recent experience in Federal practice area
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Big 4 audit experience 
  • Recommended Certifications & Licenses:  CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM or any Cybersecurity certification is required, additional relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA, ITIL, MCSE, CCNA) 

  • Sarbanes Oxley project experience, familiarity with COBIT and NIST frameworks 

  • Strong analytical skills background through use of ACL, IDEA, Excel, or MS Access

 

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
